Starting Preschool!

Very soon we will begin our journey with Preschool. My son has a fall birthday which means he still has 2 more years before we begin Kindergarten using the Noah Plan curriculum from the Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE).
FACE doesn’t produce a preschool curriculum however with my research I wasn’t concerned about starting a formal curriculum. My plan was to read some books, work on fine motor skills, continue to work on shapes, numbers and colors, but my husband had other ideas.
I like to be prepared and plan ahead.... I literally have everything I need to start my son in Kindergarten and have been working to schedule some time to go over everything and get it laid out. My husband is way more spontaneous and told me he wants him doing a laid out curriculum, so here we go!
Before finding the Noah Plan and the Biblical Classical Approach, I was planning to use Memoria Press as our core curriculum. Memoria Press offers a full range of curriculum including Preschool and a Pre-Kindergarten. The Noah Plan also incorporates Memoria Press for its French and Latin programs, so it was an easy choice to go with Memoria Press to fulfill this request of my husband.

I am looking forward to the recitation work and having a laid out structure to guide things, I just wish I had known before the end of August that we were starting! It will literally be unbox and go! I’m excited, a little nervous but mostly happy to formally start this journey with my little guy.
If you are interested in Memoria Press I encourage you to check out their website, catalog and podcasts. I’ve enjoyed their podcasts immensely. I’ll put some links below both for Memoria Press and FACE.
Classical Preschool education here we come!
